Job summary

Galen College of Nursing seeks a Simulation Technician to support and enhance simulation experiences across programs. You will collaborate with program faculty to ensure quality outcomes and assist in setting up and maintaining AV/IT systems for simulations.

The role requires technical aptitude, basic anatomy knowledge, and the ability to work with diverse teams. Training on simulation equipment and safety protocols will be provided.

Qualifications

• Technical affinity with IT, A/V, electronics or computer building.
• Ability to follow instructions and troubleshoot equipment.
• Effective written and oral communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrate working knowledge of AV and IT hardware and software.
• Provide general technical support for AV and IT systems.
• Set up, operate, and store audiovisual and IT equipment.
• Maintain safe operation of simulation equipment and environment.
• Prepare simulation environments to reflect clinical settings.
• Create moulage to model physiological responses.
• Maintain inventory and stocking of consumables and equipment.
