Job summary

Galen College of Nursing seeks a Simulation Lab Manager to coordinate and oversee all nursing simulation experiences across programs, ensuring alignment with Healthcare Simulation Standards of Best Practice. The role partners with Directors of Clinical Learning and program faculty to maintain quality CSLOs.

The position requires RN licensure, advanced nursing degree, CHSE eligibility, and prior simulation teaching experience.

Qualifications

• Master of Science Degree in Nursing from an accredited institution.
• CHSE or eligible as a professional credential.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and supervise the general operation of the simulation laboratory to provide standardized simulation experiences
• Assist faculty and students with the use and operation of the simulation equipment, supplies, and standardized simulation-based experiences
• May serve as faculty substitute in the facilitation of simulation sessions as needed
• Collaborate with campus leadership and college clinical leaders to train on equipment and supplies for simulation
• Maintain equipment and supplies for effective simulation experiences and coordinate with third parties
• Coordinate use of clinical learning labs for classes, open labs, and simulations
• Assist with orientation and training for faculty and technicians per HSSOBP
• Oversee hiring, training, and mentoring of simulation faculty and technicians
• Collaborate with Directors of Clinical Learning to support orientation and professional development in clinical simulation
• Maintain campus simulation inventory and systems in collaboration with leaders and technicians
• Perform evaluations of faculty facilitators and report findings to leadership
• Recommend curriculum changes based on research and needs identified in simulation oversight
• Communicate and implement college-wide policy changes on simulation standardization
• Attend campus course committee meetings
• Other duties as assigned
