Job summary

GBMC HealthCare seeks a Program Manager for the Simulation Innovation Learning Center to oversee operations, budgeting, and program development across the organization. The role coordinates best practices in simulation and educational activities, ensuring efficient day-to-day SILC operations and staff performance management.

Required are clinical education experience and a strong background in simulation concepts; CPP certification and CHSE goals support ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of simulation and adult educational theories to assess, plan, implement and evaluate quality simulation programs.
• Analytic skills to develop and evaluate simulation programs and assess learning needs of staff.
• Proven leadership skills and ability to present professional knowledge with competence.
• Experience with a variety of low and high fidelity simulation manikins.

Responsibilities

• Manage budget and make recommendations for capital and operating purchases that will enhance simulation teaching.
• Select departmental staff and manage the performance and development of assigned staff.
• Collaborate at all levels of the organization to meet needs for improved quality of patient care.
• Develop and evaluate simulation programs to meet staff learning needs through formal and informal platforms.
• Collaborate with leadership to create and implement meaningful, relevant simulation activities.
• Develop and deliver simulation education to appropriate key stakeholders.
• Pursue educational activities to broaden knowledge of standards of simulation use in clinical education.
• Ensure effective day-to-day operation of the SILC.
• Collect, analyze and track data on simulation center activities and recommend improvements.
• Maintain security of lab and equipment and oversee resource list of all lab, equipment, AVs, and tech devices.
