Job summary

UCSF Health is seeking a Simulation Program Manager to provide operational and strategic leadership for the administration, design, delivery, and evaluation of the BCH Oakland Simulation Program. The role includes managing personnel, finances, resources, technology, policies, and performance metrics.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in medical simulation with prior leadership experience and strong collaboration with clinical and quality leaders to advance simulation-based education and outreach

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related area or training.
• 3+ years of directly relevant experience in simulation-based education and technology.
• 3+ years of lead/supervisor/manager experience with strategic planning and leadership in educational settings.
• Proven ability to prioritize in a complex environment and organize unit operations.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with education program staff and stakeholders.
• Skills to evaluate issues and propose solutions within established policies.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational and strategic leadership for the administration, design, delivery, and evaluation of the BCH Oakland Simulation Program.
• Oversee program operations including personnel, budget, resources, policies, procedures, and metrics.
• Collaborate with medical directors, educators, and system leaders to assess needs and implement innovative simulation-based programs.
• Plan calendars, support program expansion and quality improvement, and manage equipment storage and maintenance.
• Facilitate front-line simulation activities and contribute to program evaluation and outreach projects.
