Job summary

Greater Baltimore Medical Center (GBMC) seeks a Simulation Educator to lead and evaluate simulation programs, manage staff and budgets, and collaborate across the organization to improve patient care.

The role requires an Associate degree (Bachelor's or Master's preferred), 5 years clinical experience with 2 years in educational simulation, and certification in CPR with CHSE within 2 years of hire. On-site work with opportunities to advance education programs.

Qualifications

  • Associate’s degree required; Bachelor’s/Master’s preferred.
  • Five years of clinical experience with two years applying educational and simulation concepts.
  • CPR instructor certification required by American Heart Association.
  • CHSE certification within 2 years of hire preferred.
  • Budget management and staff development experience.

Responsibilities

  • Manage budget and capital/operating purchases for the simulation center.
  • Select staff and manage performance and development.
  • Collaborate across the organization to meet learning needs for improved patient care.
  • Develop and evaluate simulation programs to meet staff learning needs.
  • Deliver simulation education to key stakeholders and enhance center operations.
  • Maintain security and inventory of lab equipment and tech devices.
  • Ensure master schedule of activities for the simulation center.
