Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Simulation Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and support compute and platform environments for simulation, digital twin, robotics, and autonomy workloads. The role combines software engineering with cloud, GPU, and operations expertise to enable scalable, observable infrastructure.

You will contribute to CI/CD, deployment patterns, monitoring, and automation while collaborating with runtime, QA, and security teams to improve reliability and cost visibility.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related.
• Typically 5+ years in software, cloud, infra, platform, or simulation engineering.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and support simulation infrastructure across AWS, Azure, on-prem and hybrid.
• Create deployment patterns for GPU workloads, NVIDIA Omniverse, Isaac Sim, Unreal Engine.
• Develop CI/CD pipelines for simulations, containers, and environments.
