Job summary

Caterpillar Inc. is seeking a Simulation Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and automate the compute and platform environments for simulation, digital twin, robotics, and autonomy workloads.

You will work with AWS/Azure, on-prem, and hybrid setups, creating reusable automation with Kubernetes, Docker, Terraform, Helm, and scripting. You will implement workload scheduling, resource management, CI/CD pipelines, and observability to improve reliability, scalability, and security across

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related discipline.
• 5+ years of software, cloud, infrastructure, platform, or simulation engineering experience.
• Strong experience with AWS/Azure and Kubernetes/Docker.
• Programming or scripting in Python, Go, C++, Bash, or PowerShell.
• Experience with Terraform, Helm, and CI/CD tools.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, automate, and support simulation infrastructure across cloud and on-prem environments.
• Create deployment patterns for simulation services and GPU workloads.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines for simulation builds, tests, containers, and environments.
• Implement monitoring, logging, metrics, dashboards, alerts, and runbooks.
• Collaborate with engineering teams to resolve deployment and integration issues.
