Job summary

Huntington Ingalls Industries (UxS) in the Mission Technologies division seeks a Simulation Engineer to develop and execute a digital twin modeling and simulation environment for autonomous vessels. You will integrate vehicle hardware with the simulator and develop software for robust virtual testing of advanced autonomy solutions.

The role emphasizes hydrodynamics, virtual models, and tools to support multi-domain autonomy across underwater and surface platforms.

Qualifications

• 0 years experience with Bachelor's in related field; or High School Diploma or equivalent and 4 years relevant experience.

Responsibilities

• Develops new and/or integrates existing system simulation frameworks, performance models and algorithms, threat models and command and control models.
• Develops software that simulates behavior of users and systems.
• Develops, integrates and uses graphical user interfaces and visualization tools.
• Models operational environments, performs trade studies via computer simulation and provides decision support for alternative architectures.
• Performs operational analysis and mission effectiveness analysis.
• May build and design training models.
