Job summary

GlobalFoundries in Malta, NY, is seeking an energetic early-career Electrical Characterization Engineer to own wafer electrical test disposition in a high-volume 300mm fab.

You will work with New Product Introduction engineers ramping silicon photonics, analyze electrical/optical tests, monitor HOL/SPC, and support line improvements and cost/risk projects.

Bachelor's degree in EE or related field, strong data analysis and communication skills, and ability to work in a diverse team are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in circuit design, electrical engineering or related technical field is required.
• Strong data analysis and problem solving skills are essential.
• Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal abilities are required.
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural team environment and to communicate with customers.

Responsibilities

• Electrical characterization of semiconductor devices and HOL test structures to support high-volume production.
• Review electrical/optical test results, HOL, and SPC data to identify variability and improve line control.
• Analyze effects of process changes on device performance, defectivity, and yield; support ramp and cost/risk projects.
• Collaborate with NPI teams on silicon photonics ramp and related testing.
• Perform all safety-related and environmental, health, and security responsibilities.
