Job summary

Vertex Pharmaceuticals LLC in Boston seeks a highly motivated Co-Op for a 6-month period beginning January 2027. You will develop in silico modeling tools to understand structure-function relationships for biologics and contribute to predictive workflows in a fast-paced biopharmaceutical setting.

The role offers full-time hours, competitive hourly pay, and exposure to analytical development projects across configurations.

Qualifications

• Ph.D. candidate or highly experienced Master's student.
• Hands-on experience with in silico modeling and structural prediction of proteins and antibodies.
• Hands-on experience with molecular dynamics simulation and understanding of protein-ligand and protein-protein interaction.
• Adaptable to changing schedules and team environments.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate across disciplines.
• Authorized to work in the United States; sponsorship not offered.
• Must be enrolled in an advanced degree program if graduating before May 2027.
• Available to work full-time, 40 hours/week from January–July 2027.

Responsibilities

• Build workflows for protein structure prediction.
• Utilize molecular dynamics tools to assess interactions and properties.
• Refine models using experimental data and existing workflows.
• Evaluate pipeline molecules with established workflows.
• Report progress and write development protocols and reports.
• Maintain thorough lab notebooks and documentation.
