Vertex Pharmaceuticals LLC is seeking a highly motivated Co‑Op in In Silico Modeling to join our group. You will work on developing tools to understand structure–function relationships for biologics and contribute to meaningful projects in a biopharmaceutical setting.

The program focuses on advanced degree students, with exposure to workflows, modeling, and collaboration in a fast-paced environment. It is a 6‑month, full‑time co‑op beginning January 2027 in the United States.

Qualifications

• PhD candidate or Master’s student in Computational Sciences, Biology, Chemistry or related field.
• Hands-on experience with in silico modeling and protein/antibody structure prediction.
• Experience with molecular dynamics and protein–protein interactions.
• Able to adapt work schedule and collaborate in a multidisciplinary team.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Responsibilities

• Build workflows for protein structure prediction and structure–function analysis.
• Use molecular dynamics to evaluate interactions and macroscopic properties like viscosity.
• Incorporate experimental data to refine models and workflows.
• Assess Vertex pipeline molecules with established workflows as needed.
• Document progress with analytical development reports and lab notes.
