Job summary

RE-1 Valley School District is seeking a dedicated SSN Paraeducator to support students with significant support needs, focusing on behavioral, social-emotional, and developmental goals within a structured setting.

This role collaborates with teachers and specialists to implement instructional plans, behavioral supports, and life skills development, ensuring safety and progress toward IEP goals within a 4-day week schedule.

Qualifications

• Pass the WorkKeys assessment unless you hold an Associate's Degree or higher.
• Experience working with children or youth.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality, professionalism, and appropriate boundaries.
• Ability to follow student IEPs, BIPs, safety plans, and district procedures.
• Willingness to provide behavioral, instructional, physical, and personal-care support.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and small-group support based on student needs.
• Assist teachers with instructional, behavioral, and physical student support.
• Support students in developing self-regulation, social-emotional, and life skills.
• Reinforce positive behaviors, routines, and expectations; support inclusion in general education.
