Job summary

Mercy seeks a Respiratory Care Practitioner to deliver direct patient care across respiratory services per physician orders. The role includes consulting with physicians on therapy effectiveness and acting as an advanced resource for‑care teams.

Eligible candidates should be a graduate of a CoArc approved program with an RCP license and NBRC RRT credential; ACLS is preferred and critical care experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• PALS may be required for ER staff.
• ACLS preferred.
• Critical care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care according to physician's orders.
• Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Performs duties as assigned.
