Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to provide direct patient respiratory care per physician orders and to consult with physicians on the effectiveness of therapy. The role includes acting as an advanced resource for physicians and nursing staff in respiratory care and performing duties as assigned.

Qualified candidates will be graduates of a CoARC-approved program with an active RCP license and NBRC RRT credential.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoARC approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential from NBRC.
• PALS required for ER staff.
• Physical demands include push/pull/grip up to 50 lbs; pinch up to 10 lbs; kneel, crouch, crawl.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient respiratory care per physician orders.
• Consult with physicians on the effectiveness of therapy.
• Serve as a resource for physicians and nursing staff on respiratory care.
• Perform duties as assigned.
