Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory therapy, following physician orders. You will consult with physicians on therapy effectiveness and serve as an advanced resource for the care team.

The role requires graduation from a CoArc approved Respiratory Care program, current RCP license, and NBRC RRT credential; PALS is required for ER staff. A sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Education: Graduate of a CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Licensure: Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Certifications: Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) from NBRC; PALS for ER is required.
• Physical demands: capable of pushing/pulling/grip up to 50 lbs; kneel, crouch, crawl as needed.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care per physician orders.
• Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing staff in respiratory care.
• Performs duties as assigned.
