Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Care Practitioner to provide direct patient care in accordance with physician orders and to support respiratory therapies across care teams.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential awarded by NBRC.
• Not required to have prior experience.
• ACLS preferred.
• PALS certification required for ER staff.

Responsibilities

• Performs direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care per physician orders.
• Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Performs duties as assigned.
