Job summary

Mercy is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to provide direct patient care across respiratory therapies according to physician orders. You will consult on therapy effectiveness and support physicians and nursing staff as an advanced resource on respiratory care.

Preferred candidates hold an RRT credential, a state RCP license, and CoARC-approved education; ACLS is a plus. A sign-on bonus of $10,000 is offered along with Mercy's comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Graduate of CoARC approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• RRT credential awarded by NBRC.
• PALS required for ER coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Perform direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care per physician orders.
• Consult physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Act as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Perform duties as assigned.
