Job summary

Mercy is hiring a Respiratory Therapist to provide direct patient care across respiratory therapies under physician orders. The role includes consulting with physicians on therapy effectiveness and serving as an advanced resource for the care team.

Preferred qualifications include ACLS and prior critical care experience; graduates of CoArc approved programs with an active RCP license and NBRC RRT credential are required.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a CoArc approved Respiratory Care program.
• Current Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) license.
• NBRC Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) credential.
• ACLS preferred.
• Critical care experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care in all aspects of respiratory care according to physician's orders.
• Consults physicians on effectiveness of therapy.
• Acts as an advanced resource person for physicians and nursing on respiratory care.
• Performs duties as assigned.
