Job summary

Carle Health is hiring a Nuclear Medicine Technologist to perform diagnostic studies and assist with radiopharmaceutical therapies. The role requires performing IV radiopharmaceutical administration, reviewing orders for accuracy, and ensuring imaging quality per departmental protocols.

Applicants must hold a radiologic technology license and obtain CNMT and NMT registrations within 1 year, with BLS within 30 days. Sign-on bonus and relocation assistance are offered for eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Licensed Radiologic Technologist - Radiography (IEMA) or equivalent licensure required.
• Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist (CNMT) within 1 year - NMTCB.
• Registered in Nuclear Medicine Technology (N) within 1 year - NMTCB or equivalent.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - AHA.

Responsibilities

• Performs diagnostic studies and radiopharmaceutical administration using Nuc Med/PET-CT equipment per department protocols.
• Reviews radiology orders and medical history to determine medical necessity.
• Transfers and verifies image data in PACS; communicates with Radiologist for readings.
• Maintains imaging equipment and inventory; reports malfunctions promptly.
• Ensures patient safety and adherence to safety protocols; participates in safety events reporting.
• Cross-trains in other modalities as needed per licensure and department needs.
