Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat patients of all ages, developing and adjusting plans of care. The role emphasizes patient safety, education, and collaboration with the care team.

You will conduct examinations, document outcomes, and ensure compliance with policy standards while guiding patients through recovery and discharge planning. A sign-on bonus is offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Physical Therapy required.
• Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) with IDFPR.
• BLS certification within 30 days (AHA).
• Complete required continuing education for acute stroke care.

Responsibilities

• Assist patient transfers with safe body mechanics.
• Treat patients with dignity and empathy; engage with care team.
• Design and adjust plan of care with goals, outcomes, and discharge plan.
• Educate patients, families, and staff about care and procedures.
• Evaluate findings to diagnose conditions and outcomes.
• Perform examinations using valid methods relevant to complaints.
• Document per CTSCP67 policy.
• Screen patients to determine therapy needs and effectiveness.
• Supervise support staff and provide feedback.
• Complete annual education for DNV Hip/Knee program when applicable.

Education

Bachelor’s Degree in Physical Therapy

Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) – IDFPR

Basic Life Support (BLS) – AHA

Stroke Continuing Education
