Job summary

Carle Health is seeking a Licensed Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat patients of all ages, adjusting plans of care as needed. This role serves as a clinical resource for staff and students and offers a sign-on bonus.

New grads may receive a $5,000 bonus; candidates with 1+ year post-grad experience may receive $7,500. Relocation assistance is available for moves of 50+ miles. LICensure: PT in IL and BLS within 30 days, plus ongoing CE for acute stroke care.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association.
• Attend and satisfactorily complete all required continuing education regarding the care of acute stroke patients.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates ability to transfer patients with assistance and uses safe body mechanics.
• Treats patients with dignity and empathy, staying engaged with those in need of services.
• Designs and adjusts a plan of care based on goals, treatment response and evidence.
• Educates patients, families, and caregivers using effective teaching methods.
• Evaluates clinical findings to determine PT diagnoses and outcomes of care.
• Performs examinations with reliable methods relevant to chief complaints and history.
• Documents in the EMR per policy.
• Screens patients to determine therapy needs and use of support personnel.
• Complete annual education for DNV Hip and Knee Replacement Program if applicable.
• Evaluates orthopedic and neurologic impairments and establishes plans of care.
