Job summary

Carle Health seeks a Licensed Physical Therapist to evaluate and treat patients of all ages, adjusting plans of care as needed and serving as a clinical resource for staff and students. The role includes education for patients and families, and collaboration with the care team to ensure safe, effective rehabilitation.

This position offers a sign-on bonus and requires current PT licensure in Illinois, BLS within 30 days, and completion of required stroke care education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy required.
• Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) in Illinois required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within 30 days required (AHA).
• Attend and satisfactorily complete continuing education for acute stroke care.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates ability to perform patient transfers with assistance from bed, chair, or floor.
• Designs an appropriate plan of care with goals, treatment, outcomes, and discharge planning.
• Educates patients, family, and caregivers using effective teaching methods.
• Evaluates clinical findings to determine PT diagnoses and outcomes of care.
• Performs examinations with reliable methods related to chief complaint and history.
• Produces documentation in accordance with CTSCP67 policy.
• Screens patients to determine therapy needs and effectiveness of treatment.

Education

Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy

Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) – IDFPR

Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days – American Heart Association (AHA)
