Job summary

Purple Communications, Inc is seeking qualified interpreters to provide high-quality American Sign Language interpreting via video and on-site at various customer locations. Interpreters must be fluent in ASL and spoken English, with a solid understanding of NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct.

Full-time role with comprehensive benefits and a guaranteed 36 hours per week, potentially up to 40. Remote monitoring of at-home environments may be required. Training provided.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of professional interpreting experience
• One (1) year Video Relay Service interpreting experience in a call center environment, preferred
• Fluent ASL and spoken English language skills
• Adhere to NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct

Responsibilities

• Provide effective video relay service, video remote interpreting and onsite interpreting for consumers
• Support and model the company's mission and values
• Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a respectful and professional attitude with customers and colleagues
• Exhibit punctuality and preparedness for shifts, collaborate with colleagues and supervisors, and maintain timely and accurate records
• Adhere to FCC regulations and company policies
• Demonstrate the ability to adapt to new technologies and multitask during calls
