• National certification or EIPA rating 3.5+ required.
• High school diploma required.
• EIPA Written Test completion (WT) required.
• Sworn statement affirming Code of Ethics.
• Background check completed.
• Minimum 80 hours of continuing education every four years starting 2026–2027.

Responsabilidades

• Provide accurate interpreting/transliterating between English and ASL or Signed English for deaf or hard-of-hearing students.
• Facilitate communication between students, teachers, peers and staff in instructional and non-instructional settings.
• Interpret in classrooms, groups, assemblies, meetings and field trips.
• Collaborate with general and special education staff to support access to content.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethics and professional standards.
• Participate in ongoing professional development.
