Qualifications

• National certification or EIPA rating 3.5+ required.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate interpreting/transliterating between English and ASL or Signed English for deaf or hard-of-hearing students.
• Facilitate communication between students, teachers, peers and staff in instructional and non-instructional settings.
• Interpret in classrooms, groups, assemblies, meetings and field trips.
• Collaborate with general and special education staff to support access to content.
• Maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethics and professional standards.
• Participate in ongoing professional development.
