Job summary

Qualifications

• Current national certification or EIPA rating 3.5+ required.
• High school diploma required.
• EIPA WT completion required.
• Background check per district policy.

Responsibilities

• Provide accurate interpreting/transliterating between English and ASL or Signed English for deaf or hard-of-hearing students.
• Facilitate communication between students and teachers, peers, and school personnel.
• Interpret in classroom instruction, small groups, assemblies, meetings, field trips, and events.
• Collaborate with general and special education staff to support access to content.
• Share observations with teachers while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Prepare for assignments by reviewing lesson plans and materials.
