Job summary

Stay Alert Safety Services, Inc. is seeking a Material Installer to transport, prepare, and install various signage materials across job sites. The role requires attention to detail and adherence to MUTCD standards, with a strong emphasis on safety and quality workmanship.

The position involves heavy field work, exposure to outdoor conditions, and occasional evening/weekend shifts. Competitive hourly pay, ongoing training (ATSSA certification), and opportunities for advancement are offered.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required.
• High School Diploma or GED completed.
• 2-year degree in industrial-related field is a plus but not required.
• Excellent verbal and nonverbal communication skills.
• Must adhere to safe workplace practices.
• Able to operate hand and power tools.
• Willingness to work evenings/weekends; 40+ hour weeks.

Responsibilities

• Ensure signs meet client specifications for spelling, font, size, and medium.
• Load and transport signs, tools, and materials to site safely.
• Install all signs to MUTCD code.
• Prepare site for installation and secure electrical connections.
• Ensure proper measurement, placement, and installation of materials.
• Mount/install signs following safety protocols.
• Clear debris after installation.
• Perform maintenance and repairs as needed.
• Operate and maintain tools per safety protocols.
• Maintain communication with Project Management and Directors; submit completion photos.
• Complete logs, vehicle inspections, work orders, and timecards daily.
• Obtain and maintain required licenses in a timely manner.
