Job summary

AWP Safety, Inc in Wilmington, NC is seeking a Material Installer to transport, prepare, and install signs and related materials in the field. You will review specifications, mount signage, and ensure all work meets MUTCD standards and safety protocols.

This role is predominantly field-based with 40+ hours per week, including occasional evenings or weekend shifts. A valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 50 pounds, and strong communication to project teams are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED completed.
• A 2-year degree in an industrial-related field is a plus but not required.
• Valid driver's license required.
• Excellent verbal and nonverbal communication skills.
• Able to connect with field-level customers and contacts.
• Adheres to safe workplace practices.

Responsibilities

• Load and transport signs, tools, and materials to job sites safely.
• Install signs to MUTCD code and client specifications.
• Prepare sites by removing old signage and securing connections.
• Measure, place, and install material accurately.
• Maintain safety protocols and clean the site after work.
• Document work progress and complete required paperwork daily.
• Possess and maintain required licenses as set by the company.
