Job summary

Woodgrain is seeking a Technical Sales Manager to act as an internal expert for Siding & Trim and Outdoor Living products. You will collaborate with the Outside Sales Team, Marketing, Supply Chain, and National Accounts to support customers and contractors across the Portland, ME footprint.

You will deliver hands-on training, create marketing support, perform jobsite evaluations, and provide product demonstrations to strengthen brand loyalty, drive sales growth, and enhance customer satisfaction.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in construction, building materials, or exterior systems.
• Solid knowledge of siding materials and installation processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
• Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of local building codes and building certifications preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving for field issues.

Responsibilities

• Serve as field resource for exterior product lines.
• Maintain a detailed sales pipeline with notes and follow-ups.
• Conduct on-site product training and installation demonstrations.
• Coordinate large regional projects with vendors and Woodgrain OSRs.
• Collaborate with leadership and supply chain to manage inventory breadth.
• Support marketing with materials, launches, and regional events.
• Gather field feedback to inform product development.
• Promote brand image and best practices at customer touchpoints.
