Job summary

Woodgrain is seeking a Technical Sales Manager to serve as the internal expert for Siding & Trim and Outdoor Living lines. You will partner with Outside Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and National Accounts to support customers and contractors across the geographic footprint, delivering hands-on training, demonstrations, and field evaluations to strengthen brand loyalty.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3–5 years of experience in construction, building materials, or exterior systems.
• Understanding of siding materials and installation processes.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills with contractors and distributors.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints, specifications and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of local building codes and building certifications preferred.
• Skilled at troubleshooting field issues and providing practical solutions.

Responsibilities

• Field resource for Exterior product lines represented by Woodgrain.
• Maintain a detailed pipeline, communicate opportunities, notes, and follow-ups.
• Conduct on-site product training sessions, installation demonstrations, and contractor workshops with Vendor representative and Woodgrain OSRs.
• Identify, quote and coordinate large projects in the region with Vendor/Woodgrain OSR teams.
• Ensure inventory breadth and depth with local leadership and supply chain.
• Provide technical and installation support to builders, contractors, distributors, and sales reps.
• Coordinate with vendor Quality teams for jobsite inspections and field assessments.
• Support sales with marketing materials, product launches and regional events.
• Collect field feedback to inform product development and marketing.
• Promote Woodgrain and vendor partners brand image at customer touchpoints.
