Job summary

Woodgrain is seeking a Technical Sales Manager for Siding & Trim in Portland, ME. You will collaborate with Outside Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain and National Accounts to support customers and contractors, sharing product knowledge and conducting demonstrations in the field.

The role requires 3–5 years in construction/building materials, strong communication, and the ability to read blueprints. Travel is a significant part of the job, with leadership involvement and product launches supported.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree preferred but not a prerequisite.
• 3–5 years of construction/building materials experience.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.
• Able to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Knowledge of local building codes and vendor collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Serve as field resource for exterior product lines.
• Maintain pipeline with RSM; document opportunities and follow-ups.
• Conduct on-site product training, demonstrations, and workshops.
• Coordinate large regional projects with vendors and Woodgrain OSR.
• Ensure inventory breadth with local leadership and supply chain.
• Provide technical and installation support to builders and distributors.
• Perform field inspections with vendor QA teams.
• Support marketing with materials, launches, events.
• Relay field feedback to inform product development and marketing.
• Promote Woodgrain brand and vendor best practices.
