Job summary

OU Health in Oklahoma City seeks an experienced RN I for the Surgical ICU, night shift. The RN I provides high‑quality care to adults with complex conditions, baseline competencies and a commitment to OU Health's values.

The role includes patient assessment, accurate documentation, assisting physicians with examinations and minor procedures, monitoring vital signs and IV infusions, administering medications, and communicating care plans to patients and families.

Qualifications

• Registered nurse with licensure and BLS certification.
• 0–3 years of RN patient care experience.
• Current RN license in Oklahoma or a compact license.
• Educational background as stated.

Responsibilities

• Aligns nursing practice with OU Health values and standards.
• Assumes responsibility for an assigned patient group and documents responses.
• Assists physicians with examinations and minor procedures.
• Obtains and monitors patient data, intervenes as needed.
• Delivers medications and manages IV infusions.
• Communicates care plans to patients and families.
• Supports mentorship and ongoing professional certification.
• Delegates tasks to clinical staff as appropriate.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
