Job summary

OU Health in Edmond, OK is seeking an Experienced RN (RN III) for Night shifts in Med Surg to join our ICU-aligned team. This role provides high-quality nursing care, mentors staff, and advances patient outcomes through evidence-based practice.

You will collaborate with physicians and support staff, document responses to treatments, administer medications, manage IV infusions, and guide care plans from admission to discharge while upholding OU Health's core values.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required.
• Master's degree in Nursing preferred.
• 5+ years of experience in patient care as a Registered Nurse required.
• Current RN license with Oklahoma Board of Nursing or multi-state compact (eNLC).
• Basic Life Support certification required on hire.

Responsibilities

• Aligns behaviors with OU Health values and maintains nursing professional practice standards.
• Assumes responsibility for an assigned patient or group of patients.
• Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed treatments.
• Monitors and intervenes based on physiological data and patient changes.
• Administers medications as prescribed and manages IV infusions and blood products.
• Delivers patient care and provides coaching and mentorship to staff.
• Collaborates with physicians and staff to plan and coordinate care from admission to discharge.
