Job summary

OU Health in Oklahoma City seeks an experienced RN to join the Surgical ICU on night shifts, delivering high-quality patient care in a fast-paced hospital setting. The RN I role supports patient assessment, medication administration, and collaboration with physicians; requires ADN/BSN and an active RN license (OK or eNLC) and BLS upon hire.

0-3 years of experience preferred; strong communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• Current RN license (OK State Board or multi-state compact).
• BLS certification required upon hire.
• 0-3 years of patient-care experience as an RN.

Responsibilities

• Aligns behaviors with OU Health values and maintains nursing professional practice standards.
• Assumes responsibility for an assigned patient or group of patients.
• Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and prescribed treatments.
• Assists physician in examination of patients and minor diagnostic procedures.
• Obtains and monitors physiological data and intervenes when necessary.
• Administers medications as prescribed.
• Initiates, regulates and monitors IV infusions and blood products.
• Delivers patient care safely and competently.
