Job summary

OU Health in Oklahoma City is seeking an experienced RN for the Neuro ICU on a part-time night shift. The RN I role provides high-quality hospital care, advancing from novice to competent with supervision and mentorship.

Responsibilities include documenting responses, administering medications, managing IVs and blood products, and collaborating with physicians to ensure safe, effective patient care while upholding OU Health values.

Qualifications

• Education: Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing.
• Experience: 0-3 years in patient care as a Registered Nurse.
• License/Certification: Current RN License and BLS certification upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Aligns behaviors with OU Health values and maintains nursing professional practice standards.
• Assumes responsibility for an assigned patient or group of patients.
• Documents patient responses to nursing interventions and changes in physician orders.
• Assists physician in examinations and minor diagnostic procedures.
• Administers medications as prescribed.
• Initiates and monitors IV infusions and blood products.
• Delivers patient care safely and competently.
• Resolves patient complaints in a timely manner per policy.
