Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory experience overseeing bus, shuttle service or transportation operations.
• Driving privileges with good standing in New Jersey with CDL Class A or B with passenger endorsement.
• Ability to read, write, speak and understand English sufficiently to perform the duties of the position.
• Flexible and available to be assigned to any shift, overtime, and holidays with adequate notice.

Responsibilities

• Supervise transportation work operations, plan work assignments and bus allocations to meet departmental goals.
• Dispatch drivers to routes, demand-response, and special events.
• Supervise bus drivers in the field and monitor GPS to ensure on-time service.
• Maintain communications with drivers; manage reports on delays, accidents, and other difficulties.
• Coordinate maintenance and repairs; ensure vehicles are ready for service.
• Assist with safety procedures and compliance with DOT and university rules.
