Job summary

MV Transportation seeks a General Manager to lead the Princeton University Shuttle TigerTransit operation, delivering service in line with the contract and client expectations. You will supervise day-to-day operations, manage a staff, and ensure compliance with safety, DOT, and FMCSA regulations.

You will drive performance metrics, oversee budgeting, and coordinate with the client to secure contract renewals while maintaining service quality and fleet availability.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5 years in operations management.
• Experience with Tripshot and Excel is a plus.
• Experience preparing reports and evaluating service performance.
• Labor/union negotiations/expenses expertise.
• Understanding of dispatch, scheduling, driver recruitment, and DOT/FMSCA compliance.
• MS Office, strong analytical and written/verbal communication skills, multitasking.

Responsibilities

• Effectively manage the entire TigerTransit operation, ensuring key metrics are met daily.
• Identify, select, train, and mentor location staff.
• Lead local team to high performance standards.
• Effectively communicate with support team members.
• Oversee vehicle maintenance plan and fleet availability.
• Ensure safety and training programs meet requirements.
• Maintain client contact and exceed expectations.
• Conduct periodic audits of departments.
• Regular review of operational metrics (daily/weekly/monthly).
• Manage location financial metrics and report exceptions with action plans.
• Implement and adhere to company policies and procedures.
• Participate in labor and employee relations activities.
• Provide insight to support contract renewals.
• Create and present location annual budgets.
