Shuttle Driver Trainee DOT - Smiths Station, AL

Ben E. Keith Company, a leader in food and beverage distribution for over a century, is seeking a Shuttle Driver Trainee-DOT in Smiths Station, AL. Our company has a strong commitment to growth, quality, and employee success since 1906.

The role involves training to perform pickup and delivery routes, returning empty trailers, and maintaining equipment. Responsibilities include:

• Training to become a safe and courteous shuttle driver, demonstrating BEK principles.
• Maintaining cleanliness and condition of tractors and trailers.
• Adhering to FMCSA laws and regulations.
• Ensuring proper fueling of equipment.
• Occasionally completing deliveries to/from the warehouse or shuttle site.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or G.E.D. (preferred)
• At least 6 months of DOT driving experience
• Valid Class A CDL with Doubles endorsement
• Knowledge of FMCSA rules
• Good computer skills and ability to learn internal applications
• Ability to work outdoors in extreme temperatures
• Ability to lift up to 90 pounds occasionally
