Job Purpose:

The Shuttle Driver Trainee-DOT will be trained to perform pickups and deliveries on daily routes to domicile drivers and to return empty trailers for reloading at the warehouse.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Train to be a safe and courteous shuttle driver, demonstrating BEK principles during interactions with the public and customers.
  • Maintain cleanliness and overall condition of tractors and trailers.
  • Adhere to all FMCSA laws and regulations to ensure compliance.
  • Ensure trailers and tractors are fueled and maintained appropriately.
  • Occasionally complete deliveries to/from the warehouse or shuttle site as needed.
Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred.
  • Minimum 6 months of DOT driving experience required.
  • Valid Class A CDL with Doubles endorsement.
  • Knowledge of FMCSA rules and regulations.
  • Ability to read and interpret operating and maintenance instructions.
  • Good computer skills and ability to learn internal applications.
  • Ability to work outdoors in extreme temperatures.
  • Ability to follow instructions and lift/move up to 90 pounds occasionally.
