Job summary

Cincinnati Children’s is seeking a Shuttle Driver II for a part-time role based at the Academy Building. You will operate a shuttle bus on a scheduled basis, transporting patients and staff between campus and off-site locations, and assisting with Mobile Care Clinic operations.

The role also emphasizes customer service, coordination with dispatch and leadership, and maintaining vehicle safety. Compliance with DOT regulations and safety standards is required.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2+ years of related work experience.
  • Maintain current DOT physical card and valid CDL with passenger endorsement.
  • Meet Cincinnati Children’s Motor Vehicle Safety Program guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Operate scheduled shuttle bus and transport patients between campus and off-site sites.
  • Assist with Mobile Care Clinic onboarding and daily operations.
  • Provide excellent customer service and assist with check-in/registration as needed.
  • Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections and coordinate maintenance.

## Shuttle Driver IIApplylocations: Academy Buildingtime type: Part timeposted on: Posted Todayjob requisition id: JR222644**Primary Location**Academy Building**Department**Parking & Transportation**Shift**Day (United States of America)**Schedule**Part time**Weekly Hours**20**FTE**0.5**Employee Status**Regular**JOB RESPONSIBILITIES*** **Vehicle Operation** - Operate, on a scheduled basis, a CCHMC shuttle Bus or any other CCHMC vehicle. Provide transportation to and from off-site parking and between campus and off campus sites.* **Mobile Care Clinic -** Assist with onboarding, and coordinate daily operations in collaboration with leadership and colleagues. Follow policies and procedures in compliance with infection control, regulatory, and safety standards. Assist with setup and breakdown of equipment, power sources, etc (exam areas). Address minor equipment or environmental issues, escalating more complex needs to appropriate personnel. Coordinate with IS for technical setup. Monitor and manage daily supplies including ordering, restocking, and inventory management. Assist with forms, PPE, medical supplies, and outreach materials. Partner with interpreters, scheduling, and clinical staff teams to ensure smooth patient throughput and timely access to care. Communicate proactively regarding schedules, delays, or patient needs. Troubleshoot issues and escalate concerns when necessary. Maintain contact with dispatch and leadership.* **Customer Service** - Meet and exceed expectations through consistent delivery of customer service. May perform check-in and registration duties following standard protocols and using appropriate electronic systems. May verify patient demographics and insurance, obtain necessary documentation, and ensure accurate and timely entries.* **Vehicle Maintenance** - Maintain a clean and safe vehicle. Ensure work areas are organized and present a safe, accessible, effective and efficient environment. Provide a safe and smooth experience for customers. Conduct pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections, monitor fuel levels, and address safety or maintenance concerns. Coordinate with Transportation Services for routine service needs, inspections, and vehicle documentation.* **Special Assignments** - Perform other driving duties as needed for Joint Commission visits, re-entry outings for re-hab patients, and Mobile Care Clinics.* **Compliance** - Comply with all Department of Transportation regulations involved within the Commercial Driver Licensure. May ensure vehicle is in accordance with relevant clinical guidelines.**JOB QUALIFICATIONS*** High school diploma or equivalent* 2+ years of work experience in a related job discipline.* Maintain current DOT physical card AND valid Commercial Drivers License with passenger endorsement.
