Cleveland Clinic Health System seeks a Shuttle Bus Driver to transport patients, visitors, and staff across the Main Campus and employee parking areas. You will operate a shuttle with wheelchair accessibility, ensuring safety and excellent customer service.
Responsibilities include assisting passengers, performing safety inspections, maintaining vehicle readiness, and complying with DOT regulations as well as Cleveland Clinic safety policies.

From greeting passengers with a friendly “hello” toassistingindividuals who needadditionalsupport, your service can make a meaningful difference each day.You’llprovide transportation for patients, visitors, and employees whilemaintaininga strong focus on safety, professionalism, and exceptional customer service.
In this role,you’llalsoassistindividuals with physical challenges when boarding or exiting the shuttle, includingoperatingthe wheelchair lift and properly securing wheelchairs before the shuttle is in motion. Your attention to detail and commitment to safety help ensure every passenger has a comfortable and positive experience.
A caregiver in this position worksMon-Fri, 1:45 pm — 10:15 pm.Every 7weekswillwork onweekends.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Conduct friendly,courteousand helpful interactions with passengers.
Provide wheelchairassistanceto destination and provide positive hand off with destination caregiver.
Provide safe,efficientand quality shuttle transportationserviceas measured by drivingrecord, compliance with established DOT regulations and Cleveland Clinic safety policies.
Maintain vehicle presentation and cleanliness at all timesin accordance withpolicy and procedures.
Maintain situational awareness both inside/outside the shuttle at all times.
Report any suspicious behavior to CCPD.
Complete daily passenger vehicle safety inspections prior to placing the shuttle into operation and at the end of the shift.
Record deficiencies and report prior to dispatching the vehicle.
Maintain currency and effectiveness in operating wheelchair lift and associated equipment and safely secure patient and wheelchair at the wheelchair station.
Assistpassengers/luggage on/off shuttle.
Record ridership data.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Can read and write sufficient to fill out maintenance check lists
Canfollow verbal directions and communicate in a clear and concise manner
Commercial driving training for purpose of safe handling of a shuttle bus with a capacity of up to 40 passengers
Possess a valid State CommercialDriversLicense (CDL) with air brakes and passenger endorsement and have less than 6 points on record
Maintain eligibility of insurability asdeterminedby CCF’s insurance carrier’s requirement tooperateFoundation vehicles
Drivers assume responsibility to pay fees associated with traffic violations
5 years driving experience
Preferredqualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
High School Diploma
Prior experience transporting passengers,patientsor clients
Prior commercial driving experience
Strong safety awareness
Strong customer service
Basic computer skills
