Qualifications

  • Current DOT physical card and a valid CDL with passenger endorsement; must meet Cincinnati Children’s Motor Vehicle Safety Program guidelines.

Responsibilities

  • Operate a shuttle bus or other Cincinnati Children’s vehicle on a scheduled basis.
  • Assist Mobile Care Clinic operations, coordinate daily activities with leadership and clinicians.
  • Deliver customer service, perform check‑in/registration, verify demographics and insurance.
  • Maintain vehicle cleanliness and conduct pre/post‑trip inspections; monitor fuel.
  • Perform other driving duties for special assignments.
  • Comply with DOT regulations and vehicle safety guidelines.

Job Responsibilities
  • Vehicle Operation – Operate a CCHMC shuttle bus or other CCHMC vehicle on a scheduled basis, providing transportation to and from off‑site parking and between campus and off‑campus sites.
  • Mobile Care Clinic – Assist with onboarding, coordinate daily operations with leadership and colleagues, follow infection control and safety procedures, set up and break down equipment, troubleshoot minor issues, coordinate with information systems for technical set‑up, monitor supplies, assist with forms and materials, partner with interpreters, scheduling, and clinical staff to ensure smooth patient throughput, communicate proactively about schedules and delays, and maintain contact with dispatch and leadership.
  • Customer Service – Deliver consistent customer service, perform check‑in and registration duties following standard protocols and using electronic systems, verify patient demographics and insurance, obtain necessary documentation, and ensure accurate and timely entries.
  • Vehicle Maintenance – Keep the vehicle clean and safe, maintain organized work areas, conduct pre‑ and post‑trip inspections, monitor fuel, address maintenance concerns, and coordinate with Transportation Services for routine service needs and documentation.
  • Special Assignments – Perform additional driving duties as needed for Joint Commission visits, re‑entry outings for rehab patients, and Mobile Care Clinics.
  • Compliance – Comply with all Department of Transportation regulations related to Commercial Driver Licensure and ensure the vehicle meets clinical guidelines.
