Job summary

Ascension Living in Indianapolis, IN, is seeking a dedicated Transportation Aide to provide safe, punctual door-to-door transport for adult day center participants to appointments and events. You will assist with boarding and securing mobility devices and maintain clean, safe vehicles.

This role requires a valid driver's license, completion of safety certifications within 30 days, and High School diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Drivers License obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required.
• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Heart Saver AED obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable.

Responsibilities

• Provide safe, punctual door-to-door transportation for adult day center participants to appointments, outings, and scheduled visits.
• Assist participants with boarding, exiting, and securing wheelchairs and mobility equipment safely and comfortably.
• Conduct daily vehicle safety checks, log transportation records, maintain cleanliness, and report maintenance needs promptly.
• Follow all traffic laws and safety guidelines while adjusting routes flexibly and providing compassionate service to families.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

• One or more of the following required:

Education

• Drivers License specializing in Commercial preferred.
