Ascension Child Development Center in Broadview, IL seeks a dedicated role to support families and guide early learning. You will visit families weekly for 90 minutes, helping caregivers act as their child\'s first teacher and connect them with community resources.

Qualifications include a high school diploma equivalency or 1 year of related experience; BLS within 30 days; CPR/food service and PALS preferred; bilingual Spanish speakers highly preferred.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider within 1 month of hire date.
• CPR certification preferred.
• ServSafe credentialed preferred.
• PALS preferred.
• High School diploma equivalency or 1 year of relevant experience required.

How you’ll make an impact in this role

• Support parents: They work with caregivers to help them act as their child's first and most important teacher.
• Guide learning: They visit families once a week for 90 minutes to share learning activities using everyday routines and household items.
• Connect resources: They help families set goals, access health screenings, and connect with community services.

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
• Certification specializing in Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation preferred.
• Food Service Professional credentialed from the ServSafe National Restaurant Association preferred.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support preferred.

Education

• High School diploma equivalency OR 1 year of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.
  • Note: Required professional licensure/certification can be used in lieu of education or experience, if applicable

Additional Preferences

• College credits in early childhood education or childhood development are required
• Valid driver's license, clean driving record, valid auto insurance, and a reliable vehicle are required
• Bilingual Spanish-speaking highly preferred
• Case Management experience preferred
