Schnitzer Steel Industries, Inc. is seeking a Shredder Operations Supervisor to lead shredder production and quality control across multiple shifts.

You will coordinate with maintenance and other supervisors to ensure safe, efficient operations while driving productivity and cost containment. The role requires 5-10 years in manufacturing with 2-5 years in management, a high school diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and experience with continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5-10 years of manufacturing/industrial experience, with 2-5 years in a managerial role.
• Experience in a unionized environment is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Strong communication and computer skills: Word, Excel, Outlook.

Responsabilités

• Oversees production and quality control of shredder operations across multiple shifts.
• Provides leadership to department employees and assigns daily duties.
• Coordinates repairs and maintenance with the Shredder Manager and Maintenance Supervisor.
• Maintains safety standards and ensures regulatory compliance (OSHA).
• Prepares and monitors production reports to improve throughput and profitability.
