Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 5-10 years of manufacturing work experience, with 2-5 years of managerial experience.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and knowledge of manufacturing processes.
• Experience managing a work crew; unionized environment experience is a plus.
• Spanish language helpful but not required; valid driver's license.
• Able to communicate orally and in writing; familiarity with Word, Excel and Outlook.
• Experience with continuous improvement initiatives and budgeting.
• Ability to carry out instructions involving multiple variables.

Responsibilities

• Ensure safe work practices and OSHA compliance in the shredder area.
• Create Health & Safety SOPs with safety leaders.
• Train staff on safety and maintain employee files.
• Attend Safety Committee meetings and monitor safety program.
• Lead department across multiple shifts and optimize production.
• Schedule work to minimize overtime while meeting targets.
• Oversee maintenance planning, parts, and inventory.
• Develop quarterly/upcoming project plans and timelines.
• Support quality control programs and reports.
• Monitor budgets and production metrics; drive improvements.
• Handle special projects as assigned.
