Job summary

Holland & Sherry, an industry leader in textiles for the interior design trade, seeks a highly organized, part-time Sample Librarian for our Boston, MA showroom. You will oversee sampling procedures and support day-to-day operations with meticulous attention to detail.

Responsibilities include maintaining a stocked sample room, handling showroom pulls, weekly inventory, and processing sample requests. Requires 1–2 years of experience, strong communication, and ability to lift 50 lb.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of relevant work experience.
• Experience in warehouse or interior design industry preferred.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent time management, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Must be able to lift 50 lb.
• Ability to follow internal procedures and multi-task.

Responsibilities

• Organize and maintain a well-stocked sample room across product categories.
• Perform day-to-day showroom pulls for in-person requests and sample requests via phone or email.
• Manage weekly sample inventory and coordinate replenishments from the sample distribution hub.
• Enter and track large sample material requests (fabric waterfalls, wallcovering tri-folds, curated box sets).
• Receive sample requests from Outside Sales and fulfill/shipment promptly.
• Restock showroom office supplies (forms, pencils, bags).
• Support daily merchandising: straighten displays, update wallcoverings, replenish leather and trim boards.
• Tag and hang new collections; pull unneeded displays based on product manager lists.
• Keep back room tidy and organized for efficient pulls.
