Job summary

Hajoca Corporation’s Builders Plumbing & HTG showroom in Midland, MI is seeking a Showroom Salesperson. You will provide expert product selection, design advice, and exceptional service to showroom customers, helping them choose kitchen and bath solutions and close sales.

The role emphasizes strong product knowledge, customer relations, and collaboration with vendors. A 1+ year background in customer service or sales is preferred; MS Office proficiency is expected.

Qualifications

• 1+ years’ experience in customer service or sales, plumbing showroom sales preferred.
• Knowledge of products sold in the showroom preferred.
• Be knowledgeable of kitchen and bath design trends.
• Effectively use Microsoft Office to communicate via email, maintain customer contact files and appointment calendars, and create and analyze reports.
• Outstanding customer service and verbal/telephone communications skills.
• Deep product knowledge related to kitchen/bath trends and upsell/cross-sell opportunities.
• Overcome objections by understanding customer needs and offering targeted solutions.
• Build influential relationships with key vendor partners.
• Build positive working relationships and inspire teamwork with co-workers.
• Plan, organize, and multi-task.
• Learn and operate computer systems used to process orders.
• Read, write, speak and understand English.
• Basic arithmetic including addition, subtraction, and fractions.

Responsibilities

• Provide expert product selection assistance and design advice to showroom customers.
• Ensure customer satisfaction to meet or exceed sales and gross profit goals.
• Provide hospitality and warmly welcome each customer.
• Articulate showroom value proposition to engage customers and close sales.
• Determine customer needs and direct them to best products to meet those needs.
• Leverage Hajoca technology to guide product selections and review specifications, pricing, and availability.
• Use sales reports and forecasting tools to meet targets.
• Enter sales orders and bids and stay engaged with customers from start to finish.
• Process showroom returns and refunds per company policy.
• Keep showroom clean, stocked, and safely displayed.
• Attend industry events to stay informed on trends and build relationships.
• Complete required safety and compliance training.
