Job summary

Grand Sierra Resort in Reno, NV seeks a guest services team member to support events and seating operations. You will maintain a positive attitude with guests and colleagues, listen to inquiries, and relay accurate information on hours, services, and shuttle options.

Responsibilities include guiding guests to seats, coordinating showroom seating, and standing at the podium during events. Flexible shifts, including holidays and weekends, are required to meet business needs.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
• Basic reading, writing, and math abilities are required.
• Skills: analyzing, instructing, following instructions, memorization, and problem solving.
• Ability to work all shifts including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a positive attitude with guests and team members.
• Identify guests’ challenges, diffuse situations, and provide service recovery.
• Actively listen to guest inquiries and respond clearly.
• Relay information about hours, hotel services, restaurants, meeting spaces, shuttle service, etc.
• Check guest tickets for seating numbers and guide guests to seats.
• Set up showroom seating using linens, toppers, and table numbers.
• Stand at the podium in the re-entry area during events to stay visible to guests.
• Any other duties as assigned within the scope of this position.
