Job summary

Dal-Tile Corp. is seeking a Showroom Design Consultant to provide interior design guidance and product expertise for tile and stone selections in the showroom. You will work with clients to develop projects and drive sales, utilizing AutoCAD as needed to support designs.

The role requires strong communication, relationship building with builders/designers, and the ability to manage showroom merchandising, tours, and events. Evening and weekend availability is expected.

Qualifications

• Four-year degree in a related field or four years of related experience.
• Sales, customer engagement, and service; design/sketching/blueprints; AutoCAD a plus; color coordination and trends.
• Ability to conceptualize innovative solutions and sell them to clients.
• MS Office suite and customer management tools experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide interior design advice and product expertise; facilitate tile/stone selection and project development; use AutoCAD where applicable.
• Log showroom visits and notes in CMT; communicate with customers and team to follow leads and close sales.
• Prospect for new business with builders and residential designers; make outside sales calls and follow up on leads.
• Maintain showroom samples, merchandising, and displays; manage orders and supplier communications.
• Plan and host showroom tours and industry events to drive sales and brand awareness.
• Evening and weekend hours are required.
