Job summary

Dal-Tile Distribution, Inc. seeks a Showroom Design Consultant to provide interior design guidance and product expertise in our showroom.

You will assist clients with tile and stone selections, document preferences, and drive sales while coordinating with internal teams for follow-up and closures. Prospecting for new business with builders and residential designers is expected, along with maintaining showroom displays and attending industry events to build brand awareness.

Qualifications

• A four-year degree in a related field, four years of related experience, or a combination of a two-year degree with two years of related experience.
• Competencies: Sales/Customer engagement/Customer service, Design/sketching/reading blueprints/color coordination/interior design trends/customer buying habits/creative thinking.
• Ability to approach unfamiliar situations and conceptualize innovative and imaginative solutions easily.
• Computer skills MS Office, MS Word, Excel, and PowerPoint; customer management tools a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provides interior design advice and product expertise, facilitates tile and stone selection, and project development/support.
• Logs client showroom visits, contacts, and preferences in CMT; communicates with customers and team; reports closures monthly.
• Prospects for new business with builders and residential designers; makes outside calls and follows up on leads to grow business.
• Maintains showroom samples/merchandising; orders, receives, and maintains displays; coordinates with suppliers.
• Plans and hosts showroom tours and industry events to drive sales and brand awareness.
• Evening and weekend hours are required.
